Songhees Events & Catering shares the food traditions of the Lekwungen people with the wider Victoria community. Every event supports training and employment for Songhees Nation members.

Our home kitchen is at the Songhees Wellness Centre.

A small crew from our home kitchen at the Songhees Wellness Centre, planning, cooking and serving events across Greater Victoria.

General Manager

Mark Regensburg

Mark brings 15 years of hotel and event leadership to Songhees Events & Catering. He began with Fairmont Hotels at The Fairmont Empress in Victoria, then managed banquets at The Fairmont Copley Plaza in Boston and The Fairmont San Jose, leading events of more than 1,000 guests for clients including Cisco, Adobe and Apple.

He also served as Director of Hospitality at Berwick House Retirement Community. Mark holds a BA in International Hotel Management from Royal Roads University and is WSET Level 2 certified in wine and spirits.

Chef

Chef David Roger

Chef David Roger began his culinary career more than 30 years ago in Vancouver, B.C. and returned to Victoria in 2004 to open the Victoria Marriott Inner Harbour Hotel. He apprenticed at the renowned five-star Pan Pacific Hotel’s award-winning Five Sails Dining Room, working with European chefs dedicated to perfection in all aspects of dining.

Catherine Davies

Living on Vancouver Island since the age of 10, Catherine boasts over two decades of customer service experience. Her planning and leadership skills in addition to her amazing attention to detail ensure that events and meetings go smoothly from start to finish.

Catherine is adept at responding quickly to changes and always keeps an upbeat, can-do attitude.

Sous Chef

Aaron George

Aaron is a member of the Songhees Nation and a familiar face in our kitchen. He sharpened his skills at the Hotel Grand Pacific on Victoria’s Inner Harbour, and has now returned to Songhees Events & Catering to take on the role of Sous Chef.

Working alongside Chef David Roger in our home kitchen at the Songhees Wellness Centre, Aaron helps lead the kitchen team and brings Lekwungen food traditions to every event, from boxed lunches to full-service galas.

Every menu can be adjusted for dietary needs, headcount and budget. Gluten-free, vegan and bannock options are available on request.

Through our new partnership with the District of Oak Bay, the Seaside Room at Oak Bay Marina is now open for events, with bookings available through 2027. Take in the waterfront views while our team serves locally inspired coastal menus, with the food you know and love from Songhees Events & Catering.

Included: Standard set-up with banquet tables and chairs
Rates: Full-day, half-day and evening rentals are available. Ask us for a quote.
Good to know: An 18% gratuity and applicable taxes apply. Food, beverage and labour are quoted with your event.
Cancellation: 15–30 days before: 75% of room rental. 8–14 days before: 100% of room rental and 50% of food & beverage. 7 days or less: 100% of room rental and food & beverage.
